Goals
■ ■ Provide trusted technical expertise to ensure effective public policy decisions on health. ■ Commit to programmatic sustainability by establishing collaborative partnerships. ■ Advocate health policy changes by communicating recommendations to elected officials, state and federal agencies, and other private policy makers. ■ Lead the state and nation in creating health improvement programs and health policy initiatives that provoke positive change in health and health care.
Strategies■ Identify and prioritize critical health-related issues. ■ Establish relationships with stakeholders and key decision makers in Arkansas and the U.S. ■ Identify and secure credible evidence and data. ■ Transform data into information by employing appropriate methods and assessments. ■ Submit findings for independent review by informed, unbiased experts. ■ Share all results—positive and negative—with the public. ■ Advocate for improved health by stimulating action. |
