Together We Can Raise
Arkansas’s Health System Performance Score.
Too often
Arkansans do not get the health care they need. Health care costs are
rising while performance declines.
Arkansas ranks 48 on a Scorecard of key health care
measurements released on June 21, 2007 by the Commonwealth Fund. The new
Scorecard ranks all U.S. states on key health system indicators
including access, quality of care, equity, and health-related quality of
life. Arkansas’s low ranking represents illnesses that could be prevented
or managed better and costs that could be saved or reinvested to improve
the health of Arkansans.
