Strategic Initiatives
ACHI's strategic initiatives are designed to address
health and health care problems in Arkansas by:
-
Building a stronger infrastructure of health programs, information, and
institutions
-
Eliminating or reducing barriers to obtaining and providing health care, especially among the poor
and underserved
-
Enhancing or upgrading health care for Arkansans
ACHI's initiatives address specific needs in the state and build on existing
efforts whenever possible. Success with each of these initiatives will
contribute, like multiple pieces of a puzzle, to improvements in health and
health care in Arkansas, regionally, and nationally. ACHI’s role in these initiatives, which are at various
stages of development, covers a broad range of activities that include
coordinating and catalyzing, measuring and analyzing, disseminating and
educating, building capacity, and allocating resources. These initiatives are
designed to produce effective public and private programs and policies that will
ultimately improve health.
